There'll be no Mughal, Pathan names in Kolkata: Bengal CM Suvendu

West Bengal CM Suvendu Adhikari said that there would be "no Mughal, Pathan or oppressive British names in Kolkata". He announced the formation of a committee headed by Swami Pradiptananda, alias Kartik Maharaj, to review and recommend the renaming of roads and public places across the state. This comes after Kolkata's Suhrawardy Avenue was renamed Gopal Mukherjee Road.
