There's no evidence: WhatsApp on report of data of 50 crore users on sale

Meta-owned messaging app WhatsApp has denied a report that mobile numbers of approximately 50 crore WhatsApp users have been put on sale by a hacker. "The claim is based on unsubstantiated screenshots. There is no evidence of a 'data leak' from WhatsApp," the app said in a statement. The breach was first reported by Cybernews.
