These PAN cards may attract a fine of 10000 rupees

Holders of more than one PAN card will have to cancel one of their PAN cards. These are gross violations and will attract fines. There are strict rules regarding holding more than one PAN, Government imposes a fine of 10,000 rupees on anyone having a duplicate PAN. This penalty has been imposed under Section 272B of the Income Tax Act.
