Former India spinner Harbhajan Singh commented on Mumbai Indians' performance in the RR match, saying, "Although MI is losing matches now, they will surely come back." Batting first, RR put 151-run target for MI in 11 overs with Yashasvi Jaiswal and Vaibhav Sooryavanshi scoring 77* and 39 runs respectively. MI managed to score only 123 runs, registering a 27-run defeat.
