They wanted to disrupt harmony: Court as it denies bail to 14 in Varanasi iftar case

A Varanasi court denied bail to 14 Muslim men accused of hurting the religious sentiments of Hindus by organising an Iftar party on a boat in the Ganga and throwing bones and food waste into the river. The court said that posting the act on social media, prima facie, established that it was committed with intention of disrupting social harmony.
