Thief tricks woman, steals ₹2.9 lakh in ATM walkie-talkie scam

A Thane man was arrested in Maharashtra’s Palghar for allegedly stealing ₹2.9 lakh from a woman using a hidden walkie-talkie at an ATM. After her card got stuck, he allegedly posed as an official through the device and remotely instructed her to enter her PIN. Police recovered ₹2.6 lakh and the walkie-talkie after his arrest.
