Thieves dig 10-foot-long tunnel to SBI in UP, steal gold worth ₹1 crore
Thieves broke open a chest at a State Bank of India branch in Kanpur and stole gold worth ₹1 crore after entering its strongroom through a 10-foot-long tunnel, police said on Friday. They dug the tunnel, which was about four-foot wide, from an empty plot adjacent to the bank. The gold weighed over 1.8 kg.
