Thieves steal ₹98-cr paintings from French museum; drop 2 while fleeing

Two thieves stole four artworks worth around ₹98 crore from a museum dedicated to French Impressionist painter Pierre-Auguste Renoir in France. Police spotted the thieves and chased them, during which they dropped two painting but escaped with the other two, officials said. "Attacking the Renoir museum is attacking a part of the history and heritage of Cagnes-sur-Mer," officials added.
