Thieves steal manhole covers from various lanes, bylanes in Pune

Pune has recently reported manhole cover lids being stolen from various regions including Kalyaninagar, Lane No. 10 and Central Avenue. The thieves have stolen manhole covers worth ₹18,000 and police are scouring CCTV footage for clues. New covers made of fibre are being installed in the city. They have multiple uses and work as stormwater drains.
