Think twice before using USB phone charging ports in public, warns govt

The Indian Computer Emergency Response Team (CERT-In) has warned people against USB charger scam, urging them to think twice before using phone charging ports installed at public places. Cybercriminals may use public charging ports for malicious activities, it said. People may fall prey to 'juice-jacking', in which malicious apps may be installed on electronic device and data may be stolen.
