Sindhudurg Fort is a sea fort built by Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, the founder of Maratha Empire, located on the Kurte island in Arabian sea. The leader was known for his strategic thinking and visionary approach. He set up a naval arm, known as Maratha Navy. The main aim was to strengthen the coastline.
