Thomson Reuters to buy tax software provider SurePrep for $500 mn

Thomson Reuters on Friday announced that it will acquire California-based SurePrep for $500 million in cash. Founded in 2002, SurePrep is a provider of tax automation software and services. It is expected to generate around $60 million in revenue this year and grow in excess of 20% annually in the next few years, Thomson Reuters said in a statement.
