Those earning ₹24 lakh have ₹2.6 lakh more than under Congress: FM

Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman said the change in personal income tax rates in Budget 2025 has also benefitted people earning ₹24 lakh annually. They now have ₹2.6 lakh more than what they had under the Congress' tax regime in 2014, she stated. "So, it is not just those earning up to ₹12 lakh who are benefited," she added.
