Nana Patekar revealed that Anil Kapoor got him replaced with Jackie Shroff in 'Parinda'. "I didn't work with [him] for 19 years after that? I thought, 'Yeh toh bada bakwaas aadmi hai yaar (He's a terrible guy)'," he added. In the same conversation, Anil defended his decision, saying that he felt Jackie was the best choice for the role.
