Thousands celebrate expulsion of French ambassador in Mali's Bamako
Around 3,000 anti-French protesters took to streets in Malian capital of Bamako on Friday to celebrate expulsion of French ambassador. While demonstrators waved Russian flags, cardboard cutouts of French President Emmanuel Macron were also burnt. The envoy was expelled on January 31 after French Foreign Minister Jean-Yves Le Drian last week said Mali's "illegitimate" junta was out of control.
