Thousands in Hong Kong live in 'coffin homes'

Hong Kong’s coffin homes, a downgrade from even the fictional cupboard under the stairs for Harry Potter, are notorious for the cramped, dangerous and unhygienic spaces. These are subdivided apartments where a single living space is partitioned into multiple tiny cubicles, often just large enough for a single bed. Residents share communal kitchens and bathrooms, which are overcrowded & unsanitary.
