Thousands of flamingos arrive in Mumbai, boat safari to begin soon

Thousands of migratory flamingo birds have arrived in Mumbai. However, this year the birds arrived late as the monsoon was prolonged. "Around 10-15,000 flamingos have arrived at Thane Creek Flamingo Sanctuary (TCFS). After taking the requisite permissions, we will be starting a boat safari for tourists in a week's time," the Divisional Forest Officer said.
