Thousands protest against COVID-19 restrictions in Austria

Thousands protested against the restrictions imposed due to the coronavirus pandemic in Austria's capital Vienna on Sunday. The gathering took place despite a ban on protests by the police. After being denied permission to hold a protest, opposition Freedom Party urged its supporters to go on a walk in the capital and to "articulate their displeasure peacefully".
