Three-person panel to look into Carlsen-Niemann cheating scandal

The International Chess Federation (FIDE) said a three-person panel will look into world champion Magnus Carlsen's allegations that American player Hans Niemann cheated during their match. "The panel will ensure a fair ruling, protecting the rights of both parties," said the federation. Carlsen had withdrawn from the Sinquefield Cup earlier this month after losing to 19-year-old Niemann.
