Tibetan man protesting China's occupation sets self on fire at UN HQ in NYC, dies
A Tibetan man set himself on fire outside UN headquarters in New York. He "self-immolated after a live appeal for Tibetan independence" and "was enraged by China's restrictions on his countrymen", according to a report. This comes a day after China enforced its new "ethnic unity" law to create a "shared" national identity among its 55 ethnic minority groups.
