TikTok accused of censoring anti-Trump content, probe launched

California Governor Gavin Newsom announced an investigation into reports claiming that TikTok is suppressing anti-Trump content, days after the platform was sold to a group of investors backed by Donald Trump. Newsom wrote on X, "I'm launching a review into whether TikTok's violating state law by censoring Trump-critical content." TikTok was sold to Oracle, Silver Lake, MGX, etc.
