TikTok owner ByteDance fires intern, demands ₹9 crore from him for AI breach

TikTok app's owner ByteDance is suing a former intern named Tian Keyu and seeking 8 million yuan (over ₹9 crore) in damages, alleging he deliberately attacked the company's artificial intelligence large language model training infrastructure. Tian allegedly sabotaged the team's model training tasks through code manipulation and unauthorised modifications. ByteDance fired the intern in August.
