TikTok owner ByteDance launches censored search engine in China

Lip-syncing video app TikTok's owner ByteDance has launched a censored search engine in China. The domain for the engine 'Toutiao Search' sits within ByteDance's flagship product, news aggregating app Jinri Toutiao, and is currently optimised only for mobile. Google removed its search engine from China in 2010 and now Baidu reportedly holds 76% of the search engine market in China.
