TikTok to collect US users' biometric data under new policy update

TikTok has added a new section to its policies in the US saying it "may collect biometric identifiers and biometric information" as defined under US laws from its users' content. The information that can be collected includes "faceprints and voiceprints". "Where required by law, we will seek any required permissions from you prior to any such collection," the policy reads.
