TikTok to settle with teen ahead of social media addiction trial

TikTok has agreed to settle a lawsuit filed by a Florida teenager who sued the firm along with other social media platforms for alleged harm to his mental health. The lawsuit named four social media platforms, including YouTube, Instagram, Snapchat, and TikTok. YouTube earlier settled the lawsuit that accuses firms of designing their social media platforms to be addictive.
