TikTok used loophole banned by Google to track user data: Report

Chinese social media app TikTok reportedly used a security vulnerability as a loophole around Android and Google policies that stop apps from tracking users via their device's MAC address. The Wall Street Journal reported that TikTok ended the practice in November 2019, by which it had collected data from millions of mobiles without giving users the option to opt out.
