India's Tilak Varma became the youngest India cricketer to score 1,000 T20I runs during first India-South Africa T20I match. He achieved the milestone at 23 years and 31 days, surpassing Abhishek Sharma who reached 1,000 T20I runs at age 25. Tilak is the 13th India cricketer to hit 1,000 runs in T20Is.
