Time is crucial facet of scheme under IBC: Supreme Court

The Supreme Court reiterated that time is a crucial facet of the scheme under the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code, 2016 (IBC). The Supreme Court also said that to allow proceedings to lapse into indefinite delay would plainly defeat the very object of the statute. The Court dismissed appeals challenging the judgment of the NCLAT.
