Tinder's parent company Match acquires dating app Hinge

Tinder's parent company Match Group has acquired a 51% stake in the dating app Hinge, the company announced on Wednesday. Hinge, which was initially launched in 2011 on a Tinder-based model, redesigned its app from 'swiping' to letting users build out full profile pages. Apart from Hinge, Match owns other dating apps including OkCupid, Match and Plenty of Fish.
