Tinessa Kaur becomes first Sikh UK Lawyer to win Barrister Award

Tinessa Kaur became the first Sikh woman lawyer to win the United Kingdom's Young Pro-Bono Barrister of the Year Award on June 10. She is the founder of the Sikh Lawyers Association in the UK. After moving to west London, from Leicester at 17, Kaur approached a Sikh support network to get off the streets and into the classroom.
