Tiny gut particles linked to ageing & chronic diseases: Study

A recent study suggested that tiny particles in the gut may trigger inflammation and chronic diseases linked to ageing. The study found that, in older animals, gut luminal exosomes, which cells use for communication, contained molecular signals tied to inflammation and damage to the gut barrier. A weakened gut barrier can allow inflammatory substances to leak into the bloodstream.
