Tirumala Temple to give mahaprasadam laddus in biodegradable bags

The Tirumala Venkateswara Temple in Andhra Pradesh has collaborated with the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) to develop biodegradable bags that will be used to sell mahaprasadam laddus, officials said. To minimise single-use plastic, a dedicated counter has been set up in the temple where devotees can buy these bags. The bags are made of starch corn.
