Tirupati Temple board removes 18 staffers following non-Hindu traditions

Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) has taken action against 18 employees for violating its rule requiring staff to follow Hindu traditions. The action comes as the employees participated in non-Hindu religious traditions while also taking part in festivals and rituals, TTD said. Employees are given options to get transferred to government departments or apply for Voluntary Retirement Scheme.
