TISS withdraws notice firing 100 staffers after Tata Trust agrees to release funds

Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS) has withdrawn a notice to terminate contracts of over 100 teaching and non-teaching staff members. It stated that the Tata Education Trust has pledged to release funds for salaries and has sanctioned ₹4.79 crore. TISS had earlier fired the staffers across four of its campuses citing non-release of grants from the Tata Education Trust.
