TMC MLA's car attacked with eggs as protesters demand return of 'cut money' in Bengal

Eggs were allegedly hurled at senior TMC MLA Madan Mitra's car in West Bengal's Kamarhati constituency during a protest. While Mitra claimed he wasn't in the vehicle at the time of the attack, he alleged that his driver was assaulted. Auto-rickshaw and e-rickshaw drivers had gathered to demand the return of money paid as "cut money" over the years.
