TMC MP Abhishek Banerjee on Tuesday issued a legal notice to TMC MLA Madan Mitra, who joined TMC's rebel faction led by Ritabrata Banerjee. "You made false, reckless, malicious and highly defamatory statements," the notice read, highlighting claims made by Mitra against Abhishek Banerjee had "no factual foundation". Mitra said he will support a "new TMC" to take on BJP.
