TMC MP Abhishek Banerjee's football club to face WB govt probe over funding

The West Bengal government will launch a probe into TMC MP Abhishek Banerjee's football club, Diamond Harbour FC, over multiple allegations. The complaints include illegal encroachment of the practice ground, discrepancies in the club's way of running and questions over the funding of the club, State sports minister Nishith Pramanik said. Diamond Harbour FC recently won the Indian Football League.
