TMC MP Kakoli resigns from party post days after being removed as LS chief whip

Senior TMC leader and Barasat MP Kakoli Ghosh Dastidar resigned as the party's organisational district president days after being replaced by Kalyan Banerjee as TMC's Lok Sabha chief whip. Taking "moral responsibility" for the party's poor Assembly poll performance in the district, she blamed political consultancy firm I-PAC for damaging the party. She also hinted at corruption in TMC.
