TMC's Abhishek submits 20 pleas to LS Speaker seeking disqualification of rebel MPs

TMC MP Abhishek Banerjee met Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla and submitted 20 petitions seeking the disqualification of 20 rebel MPs. He said the Constitution's 10th Schedule states that if a member voluntarily gives up their membership of a party, they're disqualified as MP. He added that MPs elected on a party symbol cannot later claim to join another party.
