Former Union Minister and TMC leader Babul Supriyo won the Ballygunge by-polls on Saturday by defeating BJP's Keya Ghosh. As trends suggested his win, Supriyo appreciated West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee by saying, "Didi guided us for working on ground." Meanwhile, BJP's Agnimitra Paul, who lost the Asansol Lok Sabha seat to TMC's Shatrughan Sinha, said, "Babul Supriyo's victory...was predictable."
