TN-based businessman Srinivasan urges Sitharaman to simplify GST; later apologises

Tamil Nadu-based Sree Annapoorna restaurant chain’s MD Srinivasan, in an event with FM Nirmala Sitharaman, said GST causes such confusion that “even computers are unable to compute”. A closed-door meeting’s now-deleted video posted by BJP’s Balaji MS purportedly showed Srinivasan later apologising to Sitharaman with folded hands. Balaji’s video sparked outrage, with people calling it “shameful”.
