TN brings 'special licence' for serving liquor in marriage halls

A 'special licence' is required to serve liquor in conference halls, convention centres, marriage halls, banquet halls, sports stadiums, and household functions in Tamil Nadu, a notification said. The DMK-led government amended the Tamil Nadu Liquor (Licence and Permit) Rules, 1981. "The issue of liquor under special licence...may be in pegs/bottles for consumption," the government said.
