TN CM Vijay announces 2% DA hike for govt employees, teachers

CM Vijay-led Tamil Nadu government on Thursday announced a 2% hike in Dearness Allowance (DA) for state government employees and teachers. The DA has been raised from 58% to 60%, effective January 1, 2026. The government said that the revised DA will benefit nearly 16 lakh government employees, teachers, pensioners and family pensioners across the state.
