TN CM Vijay scraps old 4-show rule, theatres can screen 5 shows/day for 1st week

Tamil Nadu CM Vijay announced that theatres will now be allowed to run five shows per day during a film's first week of release, scrapping the 1957 four-show limit rule. The official note also added that producers will no longer need to obtain permissions from the government or licensing officers. This comes ahead release of Vijay's film 'Jana Nayagan'.
