TN expands free bus travel; women can now travel free in Express, Deluxe buses too

Tamil Nadu CM Vijay launched the expansion of the 'Vettri Payanam' scheme, which provides free bus travel for women, on Gandhi Jayanti. The government said the expansion would benefit over 84 lakh women daily, allowing them to travel on 'Deluxe' and 'Express' buses as well. There's no income limit or restriction on the number of daily trips under the scheme.
