TN govt forms Anti-Terrorism Squad to check radicalism

In a move to curb and counter radical elements, the Tamil Nadu government accorded sanction to set up an Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS). The squad comprising four units and an assault team will have jurisdictional power across the state, functioning with the support of police stations and strength of 383 personnel of all ranks. The ATS will have its intelligence cell.
