TN govt increases retirement age of govt employees from 59 to 60

Tamil Nadu government has increased the retirement age of government employees from 59 to 60, CM Edappadi K Palaniswami announced on Thursday. The increase in retirement age is applicable to all government employees who were to retire on May 31, 2021. In May last year, the Tamil Nadu government had raised the retirement age of its employees to 59 years.
