TN to continue with 'no detention policy' upto class 8: Minister

Tamil Nadu School Education Minister Anbil Mahesh said the state will continue to follow 'no-detention policy' upto class 8. His statement comes after Centre scrapped the policy for classes 5 and 8, allowing them to fail students if they don't clear exams. Anbil called Centre's decision "stumbling block" for students from the underprivileged section.
