Today's Bihar doesn't need 'lalten': PM Modi takes jibe at RJD

Addressing a rally in Gaya ahead of the Bihar Assembly elections, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday said, "The need for lalten (lanterns) in today's Bihar is over." PM Modi added, "There was a period when electricity used to be in the homes of only well-to-do families." Notably, RJD's poll symbol is a 'lalten'.
