Toddler given injection after dog bite near Mumbai, sent home with broken needle in body

A two-and-a-half-year-old boy from Kalyan near Mumbai was allegedly sent home from municipal hospital with a broken syringe needle lodged in his body after receiving an anti-rabies injection. His family claimed the doctor denied the needle was inside and said broken piece had fallen on the floor. The child later underwent minor surgery at a private hospital to remove it.
